Wok in the Park

Be sure to ask about vegan desserts after indulging in one of fine meals at Wok in the Park, located in St. Louis Park. Sometimes they have vegan desserts; sometimes they don't. This time we scored Chinese doughnuts along with a big scoop of maple cinnamon (vegan) ice cream. Delicious!

Seward Cafe

The Seward Cafe had a great selection of vegan desserts today. After my breakfast, I enjoyed this large and very tasty piece of chocolate chip banana bread.

Acadia Cafe

I paid a visit to Acadia Cafe (at the corner of Cedar and Riverside) for the first time in a really long time. The vegan veggie sandwich (with fries) satisfied my lunch-time hunger.

Chipotle - Vegan Pinto Beans!

It has always been extremely annoying that Chipotle has historically included bacon in their pinto beans. The black beans are great, but it's nice to have options! Last month I ate at a Chipotle in Colorado that had a big sign proclaiming that their pinto beans were bacon-free. A quick Google search confirms that this will be happening nationwide. While I don't know whether every Twin Cities-area Chipotle now has vegan pinto beans, I can confirm that my fellow vegans can now safely order pinto beans at AT LEAST two Minneapolis locations: Calhoun Commons (3040 Excelsior Boulevard) and US Bank Plaza (downtown, 200 S. 6th St.).

Foxy Falafel Food Truck

Foxy Falafel makes a great falafel sandwich, both at their food truck and their restaurant. Like them on Facebook to find the food truck. I love that they occasionally show up at my neighborhood farmer's market.
